Then it’s off to Granny’s farmhouse for a barbecue lunch with wine, where you will help prepare Mallorcan dishes and can enjoy beautiful views of Santa Maria’s countryside.

With Rural Mallorca you will visit typical Mallorca, places that have rarely received visitors of any kind. You will learn about traditional Mallorcan food and drink and ritual that go with serving and enjoying them.

In the first part of Rural Mallorca, take a step back in time when our guide takes you around the tiny farmers market in the beautiful village of Maria de la Salut where you will participate in selecting bread for lunch.

After that Rural Mallorca will take us to enjoy the town of Binissalem as you stroll around old lanes and discover the typical stone architecture. In Binissalem you will visit: a local market where you will help select the vegetables for lunch; a typical townhouse; and a traditional rural wine cellar that stills uses old methods to create their wine. Here, our guide will show you how to prepare a typical Mallorcan dish using the ingredients we bought in Maria de la Salut and Binissalem, and then we will enjoy a delicious lunch accompanied by the wine purchased at the wine cellar.
