The excursion to the Caves of Drach and Porto Cristo is an excellent opportunity to visit the most famous caves in Mallorca and the east coast of Mallorca.
Excursion Caves of Drach and Porto Cristo – Description of the excursion:
Caves of Drach in Porto Cristo are one of the most visited caves in Europe. On this half day trip you will visit the Caves of Drach, Montuiri pearl factory, Olivart olive wooden shop and the town of Porto Cristo.
The highlight of this excursion is the Caves of Drach visit. The visit to the Caves of Drach takes more than an hour and it includes a classical music concert in Lake Martel, considered to be one of the biggest underground lakes in the world. After the concert you can take a short boat trip on the Caves of Drach lake where you can admire the beauty of the caves of Drach that it is further enhanced by the lightning planned and set in place by the engineer Carlos Buigas. The boat trip in Lake Martel is included in the price of the excursion to the Caves of Drach
Before we visit the caves of Drach, we will stop in Montuiri where you will have time to visit the famous pearl factory where you can observe the rigorous pearl manufacturing process, while listening to the expert explanation. Also we will visit Olivart, a shop specializing in olive wood, where you can see magnificent items created from olive wood.
We will also stop in Porto Cristo. Porto Cristo is a very sheltered bay with a beautiful extensive beach of fine sand and shallow water. Porto Cristo is also a natural harbour, used for both fishing and sport, which despite modernization has not lost its natural charm. In Porto Cristo you will have time to go for a stroll and enjoy the beach.

Es la segunda vez que visito estas cuevas, una vez de viaje de estudios, y otra vez de vacaciones con la familia. Las cuevas del Drach son espectaculares, y lo mejor de todo fue el concierto en el lago, y después el paseo en barca por el lago, que fue precioso. Recomiendo la excursión a todos los que visiten Mallorca.

Espectacular! Entrar en estas cuevas es como entrar en un gran palacio natural con multitud de estalagmitas y estalactitas. Además las luces de diferentes colores añaden belleza a la cueva y a todo lo que le rodea. Lo mejor de la visita fue el concierto de música clásica en el lago, y el recorrido en barca en las Cuevas.
