La Reserva de Puig Galatzo is an unforgettable experience: it is a unique natural park in Mallorca with waterfalls, wildlife, vegetation and much more. This is the ideal place to visit in Mallorca if you like nature, wildlife, and to experience different things.
La Reserva Puig Galatzó Information:
LA RESERVA PUIG DE GALATZÓ Natural Park has an area of 2.5 million square metres and is situated at the foot of the “Puig de Galatzó”; one of the most emblematic mountains of Mallorca.
LA RESERVA PUIG DE GALATZÓ its valley belong to one of the most enigmatic zones of the island with a large variety of plants. This variety is due to the abrupt landscape that rises from 200m above sea level to the 1026m of the mountain itself.
Apart from plants, LA RESERVA accommodates three brown bears, ostriches, emus, deer, wild donkeys, goats, peacocks, geese and a great variety of ducks in a landscape of caves and waterfalls.
The entire circuit through the park is about 3.5 km long. After a walk of approximately one hour on gently sloping terrain, passing by several waterfalls and seeing different animals, there is a large barbecue area and a kiosk-bar, where snacks and cold drinks can be bought.
This is also the place where the famous bird of prey exhibitions take place twice a day.
You can also bathe in the waterfalls or in the “Refreshing Mountain” swimming pool.

Opening times of La Reserva – Puig Galatzo
Open every day, from 10:00 until 19:00 (No entrance after 2 hours before close). We recommend comfortable clothing and footwear, according to the temperature, and camera.
Location / How to find La Reserva – Puig Galatzo
From Palma follow directions to Puigpunyent (17 km from Palma), from where signs indicate La Reserva – Puig Galatzó.

Important for families: Children under 4 years are free. Between 4 and 12 years entrance is half adult price.

Avoid if you have children. The walk is long and hot and you will probably end up carrying the smaller children all the way back. The walk has some cages along the way with some sorry looking animals (i.e. some bored bears pacing up and down in their cage) reminding me of 3rd world zoos. A staff member also managed to break our buggy (which we had to leave at the entrance) by forcing it to collapse. He, and later the management, then refused to take any responsibility for it - after all there was a sign by the door...

@fani: Para ir a la Reserva con el bus publico tienes que ir a Puigpunyent. De todas maneras, al reservar tu ticket te damos la información de los horarios del transporte publico, pero de Puigpunyet a La Reserva del Puig de Galatzo no hay transporte publico. Otra forma de ir a La Reserva del Puig de Galatzo en con la excursión. Puedes pedir más información en la sección de contacto.
