There are many beautiful coves and sandy beaches in Mallorca, but not all of them are ideal for practising nudism! <\/strong>And although practising nudism on Mallorca’s beaches and coves isn\u00b4t forbidden, it is ideal to go to one where naturism fans prefer to go, to enjoy a day at the beach with like minded people. According to the famous wikipedia<\/a>, a naturist or nudist beach is <\/em><\/strong>a beach or coastal area specially enabled to practice nudism. Nudism is where people are allowed not to wear clothes on the beach and therefore, there is public exposure of the genital organs of, both men and women and children whilst attending these beaches. The truth is that the description isn\u00b4t very clear, as it seems to divide the beaches between nudist and non-nudist parts. So it is important to answer these questions, in order to have a better understanding about the concept of nudism or naturalism:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is it legal to practice nudism in the coves and beaches of Mallorca?<\/strong>

Absolutely! In fact, in 1988 the crime of public scandal was withdrawn completely, and one is totally free to go to the beach naked, and even in the street. However, the town councils of the different municipalities of Mallorca can regulate the use of the beaches. Consequently, they can prohibit or prevent nudism, or decide in which area of the cove or beach nudism can be practised.<\/p> <\/div>

What exactly is the naturist movement?<\/strong>

According to the Spanish Naturism Federation: the naturist movement promotes going naked when it is obvious that it is not necessary to wear clothes, for example when going to the beach or in contact with nature, as long as the weather allows it of course.<\/p> <\/div>
