The highlight of the fair is the gastronomy, <strong>the Nit Gastron\u00f3mica Caragolera<\/strong>, where you can taste different dishes cooked with snails as the main ingredient. Don&#8217;t miss this fair if you visit Mallorca in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"festival-of-es-firo-in-soller\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"festival-of-es-firo-in-soller\"><\/span>Festival of es Fir\u00f3 in Soller<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Every second of May S\u00f3ller celebrates es Fir\u00f3, which commemorates the landing of Turkish and Algerian corsairs in the Port of S\u00f3ller on the 11th of May 1561. This annual event pays tribute to the victory of the Sollerics with a spectacular disembarkation by sea in ancient ships from which the corsairs land and where they engage in battle in the port against the Sollerics dressed as peasants who await them on the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The battle of es Fir\u00f3 de Soller<\/strong> is a very lively re-enactment accompanied by a lot of gunpowder with the roar of blunderbusses and pyrotechnics that takes place in two locations: in the town of Soller and in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.click-mallorca.com\/blog\/en\/places-interest-mallorca\/port-de-soller\/\">Port of Soller<\/a>. In the port of Soller there are two battles on the beaches of Playa de Ca&#8217;n Gener\u00f3s and Playa d&#8217;en Repic and the final battle takes place in Soller in the Plaza de la Constituci\u00f3.
