Whatever the starting point of your route, you will see that it is very easy to drive. No country lanes, no narrow roads. From there, we must take bus line 401 which will take us to Porto Cristo, and from here we must walk for around 20 minutes or so to reach the Caves of Drach. The duration of the bus route from Palma to Porto Cristo is about 75 minutes. So, between bus and walk, it is more than 90 minutes. A total of 3 hours round trip, without counting the visit to the caves, the waiting time to buy the tickets and the time you may need to go to the toilet, have a drink in the bar\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bear in mind that if you are staying in a resort near Palma, whether it be Santa Ponsa, Magalluf, Palmanova, Arenal\u2026 you will have to travel to Palma first, which is approximately 45-60 minutes depending on the hotel where you are staying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"to-the-caves-of-drach-from-alcudia\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"to-the-caves-of-drach-from-alcudia\"><\/span>To the Caves of Drach from Alcudia<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The northern part of Mallorca has some well-known tourist resorts, such as Port de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.click-mallorca.com\/destinos\/puerto-alcudia\/\">Alcudia<\/a>, Playa de Muro or Can Picafort. From this area it is also possible to get to the caves by public bus, but again you have to change buses, which makes the route to the caves much longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From Port Alcudia we must take bus number 325 to Cala Ratjada, and from there change to the bus that goes to Porto Cristo. Finally, there is the 20-minute walk to the caves. This option is only available during the summer season, which is when this bus route is in operation. The approximate time you need from leaving Port Alcudia until you reach the caves is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the winter, you will have two different options, although both also include a transfer. The first is to go by public transport to Palma and from there to Porto Cristo. The second option is to go by public transport to Inca and from there by train to Manacor, then by bus to Porto Cristo. Please have in mind, you will need at least 2 hours and 30 minutes to get to the caves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"from-cala-millor-or-cala-dor\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"from-cala-millor-or-cala-dor\"><\/span>From Cala Millor or Cala Dor<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As they are tourist centres close to the Caves, the transfer time by bus from these areas is shorter, and in just one hour (or even less) you can reach Porto Cristo, and from there walk about 20 minutes to your destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading parrafo-azul\" id=\"excursion-to-the-caves-of-drach\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"excursion-to-the-caves-of-drach\"><\/span>Excursion to the Caves of Drach<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are not going to rent a car, <strong>for us this is the best option<\/strong>, as it is the most comfortable, quickest and most efficient way to get to the Drach caves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With an organised excursion you have all these advantages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pick up near your hotel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are guaranteed a seat on the bus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They take you directly to the caves, with no stops on route, like there are with public transport.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your tickets are already guaranteed. No more queuing at the ticket office or finding that the caves are sold out or that you have to wait a few more hours for your visit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have a guide from the island who gives you information about the caves, who has everything organised for your peace of mind and who helps you with any questions or problems.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A few months ago we read an opinion on the internet, which explained it very well: <em>\u2018they take you, you visit the caves, you don&#8217;t queue, they organise it for you and they take you back. The closest thing is to go by boat from Cala Millor to Porto Cristo, and from there walk to the caves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people think that you enter the caves by boat, but this is not the case either. You enter on foot, follow a walking route through the interior of the caves until you reach the Lake Martel. There, there is an underground theatre where a short classical music concert is performed, and at the end you can take a small wooden boat across the lake. They take you to the other end of Lake Martel, and from there, you walk to the exit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"where-to-park-at-the-caves-of-drach\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"where-to-park-at-the-caves-of-drach\"><\/span><strong>Where to park at the Caves of Drach?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re planning to visit the impressive Caves of<strong> Drach<\/strong>, one of Mallorca&#8217;s most popular tourist destinations, you&#8217;ll be pleased to know that <strong>parking <\/strong>is very easy and convenient. The <strong>Caves of Drach <\/strong>have a free, large and well-located car park, which makes it very easy to arrive by car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The car park at the <strong>Caves of Drach<\/strong> is located right <strong>in front of the ticket office<\/strong>, so it is easy to find. From the moment you arrive, you will clearly see the signs that will guide you to the car park, and a guard from the caves&#8217; staff will show you where you can park your car in an orderly fashion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Spacious: <\/strong>There is plenty of space in the car park, so parking is easy, even during the high season.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Free: <\/strong>The parking here is Free, adding convenience and savings to your visit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong style=\"color: initial;\">Security<\/strong><span style=\"color: initial;\">: The carpark is guarded by a Guard in operation with the Caves of Drach. They are in charge of security of course, and guiding the visitors to their spaces &#8211; making it safe and organised.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>From the car park, the walk to the ticket office is very short.
