Cala Ferrera is one of the small coves we find in the tourist area of Cala Dor, an important resort in the east of the island of Mallorca with a wide range of hotels and tourist services. Cala Ferrera offers many things to do and places to visit, and a wide selection of organized excursions to different tourist attractions.
Undoubtedly, one of the most important activities in Cala Ferrera is to enjoy its beach. It is a small cove of sand emcompassed by rocks, about 100 meters long, very beautiful and relaxing. It has umbrella and sunbed services, but there is no beach bar. If you like exploring coves, this area is ideal because all along the coast you can find numerous hidden coves. A highly recommended cove in the area of Cala Ferrera is Cala Serena, which is well worth a visit.
From Cala Ferrera Beach there is a small jetty, from where you can join a boat trip along the Porto Petro coast to different destinations in the area such as Cala Figuera, Cala Dor, Porto Colom ...

Cala Ferrera is located near different places of interest, and there are many options to plan a day visiting the area. Among the nearby towns, we have those of Felanitx, Santanyi, Ses Salines or Colonia de Sant Jordi, from where the boat trip to the neighboring island of Cabrera takes place. Near Felanitx we find the Puig de San Salvador with its monastery, from where we have fantastic views of the island. Nearby, another recommended visit is the Castle of Santueri. Another option is to go to Porto Cristo, where the Caves of Drach are located, one of the most recommended visits in Mallorca.
