Cala Millor, located on the East Coast of Mallorca, began welcoming tourists in the 1950s with the beginning of tourism in Mallorca and is a great place to spend a holiday, with more than 60 hotels for visitors to choose from.
Cala Millor offers plenty of tours, excursions and boat trips for all ages. It is one of the most important tourist resorts with a grand offering of hotels and accommodation, shops, bars, restaurants and activities. Cala Millor also makes a great base for exploring the rest of the island on tours, excursions or day trips.
For lovers of nature and the mountains, Cala Millor offers interesting hiking routes close to the sea, as you will find that the Serra de Tramuntana is a little far away. Another interesting activity for walkers is to visit the Parque Natural de Llevant where there are some pleasant trails. For those who wish to visit the Tramuntana Mountains, the best option is the excursion to Soller and La Calobra, combining train, boat, bus and tram through the mountains and countryside.
If what you wish to do is find a nice beach to soak up the sun and relax, in Cala Millor you will be spoilt for choice, with it being a coastal resort. This area of Mallorca is mostly known for its numerous small beaches, but actually Cala Millor Beach is a long, sandy beach which achieves its blue flag year after year for cleanliness. On the main beach at Cala Millor there are facilities such as sunbeds, bars and water sports like kayak, jetski or the many boat trips on offer.
While at the beach in Cala Millor, you shouldn’t miss out on taking part in a boat trip on one of the glass bottom boats departing daily from the beach. Exploring the coastline from out at sea gives you a different perspective of this beautiful island. It also gives you the opportunity to discover hidden coves and caves in Mallorca as well as the rich and interesting marine life in Cala Millor.
Another interesting and unusual excursion from Cala Millor is the sunrise boat trip to see dolphins in the wild, which departs from neighbouring resort Cala Ratjada and includes transport from hotels in Cala Millor.
If you are wondering where to eat in Cala Millor, there is a great variety of cafes, bars and restaurants here, one of the most prestigious being that of Tomeu Caldentey, a famous Mallorcan chef who offers fine dining and an excellent tasting menu. Otherwise, while on holiday in Cala Millor, you shouldn’t miss out on tasting some delicious mallorcan tapas or enjoying a paella in a nice charming terrace.
Unfortunately, Cala Millor does not have its own water park, but there are daily coach tours to the biggest water parks of Mallorca where the whole family can enjoy the water slides, wave pools and attractions.

One of the best places to visit from Cala Millor is Porto Cristo. You can get there by bus, tourist train or by boat. There you can visit the famous Caves of Drach with music concert and boat across Lake Martel. Very close you will find the Majorica Pearl Factory and shop, which is also one of the popular attractions in this area.
