Cala Murada is located on the east coast of the island of Mallorca, and was originally a small fishing port used by the inhabitants of the interior area, which with tourist development has become a holiday destination. From Cala Murada there are many things to do and places to visit, and endless organized excursions to different tourist attractions in Mallorca.
Cala Murada has a sandy beach encompassed by rocks on each side, where you can snorkel, swim or sunbathe. While it is a very quiet place, during the summer season, especially in July and August, it is quite crowded with day trippers.
If you want to take a boat trip or join a boat excursion, you must go to the pier on the beach in Calas de Mallorca where there is a boat service with glass bottom vision that takes you to different places on the east coast of Mallorca, such as Porto Cristo, Cala Millor or to Cala Ratjada.
Around the coastal area of Cala Murada there are numerous coves that we can visit, many that are not urbanized and without services, but which are well worth it for the crystal clear waters and tranquility. Among some outstanding, we can mention Cala Virgili, Cala Magraner, Cala Varques...
It is very interesting to see the Torrent des Fangar that flows into the sea near here and forms a small natural lake, with interesting vegetation and fauna. Another place of interest is the cave of Cala Murada, which was a dwelling carved into the rock during the Bronze Age and legend tells that it was later used to store contraband. Other options are to go to the towns or nearby tourist centers, such as Calas de Mallorca or Cala Dor, where there is a greater offer of nightlife and restaurants.

For families with children, Cala Murada Beach is ideal. If you want to see a little more of the island, a popular visit is to the nearby town of Porto Cristo, where we find the famous Caves of Drach, a must in Majorca. And the options for family bus tours and excursions are many, such as Marineland, Palma Aquarium, Katmandu Park or one of the big water parks of Mallorca: Western Park or Aqualand.
