Paguera, found on the Southwest coast of Mallorca, is a popular tourist resort, especially with German families, many of whom come back year after year. Being such an important holiday destination, Paguera naturally has plenty to offer the tourist, including all the facilities needed for a great holiday: hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, a fantastic beach and much more. Plus, there are many things to do in resort and an endless selection of attractions, excursions and tours.
For lovers of the great outdoors, there are many walking and hiking routes in and around Paguera; some close to the sea and some further inland, but all well-signposted and with lots of information. One of the most spectacular hikes in this area is to the Puig de Galatzo, the summit of which is 1000m above sea level. It is a difficult walk but well worth the rewards. Other popular walks are from Paguera to Capdella and the excursion to Cap de Andritxol and its defensive tower.
Another highlight is to explore the coast by foot and to discover the numerous coves we find in the area.
A great option to visit the best of the Serra de Tramuntana from Paguera is on the tour with bus, boat, tram and vintage train to La Calobra and Soller.
For the sun worshippers, Paguera has three white sandy beaches connected by a pedestrian promenade: Tora Beach, Romana Beach and Palmira Beach, the latter being the largest at over 600m wide. One of the most beautiful boat trips from Paguera is a 5-hour boat trip to Dragonera Island on which you will see Mallorca's stunning coastline, have the opportunity for swimming and snorkelling and have time to explore Dragonera Island.
If you want to go shopping in Paguera, you will find the biggest concentration of souvenir shops, clothes shops and supermarkets on Avenida Paguera, which runs parallel to the seafront.
For food lovers, Paguera has a plethora of restaurants for all tastes and pockets. If you are looking for soomething truly special, in Capdella you will find Zaranda Restaurant, decorated with two Michelin Stars.
Another interesting visit is the CCA in Andratx, considered to be one of the biggest cultural art centres of Mallorca.
Close to Paguera, in Magaluf, we find the Western Water Park, a country and western themed water park.
