What to do in Puerto Pollensa

Situated in the north of the island, Puerto Pollensa is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mallorca. The town, an old fishing harbour, offers many diverse activities and places to see, as well as an infinity of organised excursions to different tourist attractions.

Nature lovers: trekking and walks

For lovers of nature and the mountains, this area is perfectly situated by the mountains in the north of Mallorca at the foot of the Sierra de Tramuntana, which can be visited on the excursion to Soller and La Calobra, on which you’ll enjoy a fantastic journey by train, boat, tram and coach. The Boquer Valley towards the Cape of Formentor is also an ideal place for hiking, as is the the Puig de Maria and the Puig de Pollensa. For lovers of the sea, Pollensa’s long, sandy beaches will provide enjoyment for those who wish to sunbathe and those who wish to pursue more active pastimes such as kite surf or paddle surf.

Boat and catamaran trips

From the port, there are many boats and catamarans departing on daily boat trips to discover the beautiful coves around the Formentor area and enjoy the bay in all its splendour.

A visit to Cap Formentor

For those who wish to visit the Cape, both from the sea and from the land, the excursion Formentor Xperience is a must: visit the Colomer viewpoint where you can enjoy the extraordinary views of this marvellous coastline, relax on the famous beach of Formentor, and end with a boat ride back to Puerto Pollensa.

Pollensa old town

We can’t leave without a visit to the old town of Pollensa, taking on the challenge of the 365 steps of the “Calvari” which lead up to the Montision Chapel from where we have magnificent views of the old town and the surrounding area. Every Sunday there is the weekly market in Pollensa old town.
