What to do in Porto Colom

Porto Colom is a small town on Mallorca's east coast, belonging to the municipality of Felanitx, which is one of the most attractive on this coast. It is a traditional fishing village where the main beach of Cala Marsal is located. Porto Colom - Cala Marsal has all the facilities of a tourist resort with a large presence of hotels, restaurants, shops, beaches ... and offers many things to do and places to visit, together with an interesting number of excursions to different tourist attractions.

Visit the harbour and town

The town is located around a large bay, in which the lighthouse and the anchored boats add a beauty to the nature of the place. We find a long pier where leisure boats mix with local fishing boats, and that brings us to our first recommendation for those on holiday: a boat trip from Porto Colom to see the beauty of the Mallorcan coast and the conservation of one of the prettiest harbour towns.

Other interesting things to visit in Porto Colom are the lighthouse, the church, the area of La Riueto and the old town. Everything is close by and easy to get to. There are nice bars and cafes around the town which can make a convenient pause when exploring the sights.

Every Tuesday and Saturday is market day, which is held in the Plaza del Comerç.

Visit the mountain San Salvador

Porto Colom and Cala Marsal are urban centres that belong to the district of Felanitx and we also organise a visit to Puig de San Salvador and the market in Felanitx to get to know the surrounding area.

Excursion to Palma

A must see is the city of Palma de Mallorca and you can make the visit with our tour that combines an open-top bus tour, walking route and visit to the Cathedral of Palma.

Horse riding

Visit the Caves

We offer two different options to visit the caves of Mallorca: the organized excursion to the Caves of the Drach or the excursion with transport to the Cueva dels Coloms, a marine cave.

Excursions by coach and with a guide

If you go to the top of the page you will find on your right a section of activities where you can filter and find excursions for families with children. The visit to entertainment parks such as Marineland, Katmandu Park or Palma Aquarium are very popular activities that we recommend. We have trips with transportation to all the parks mentioned above. All this, without forgetting one of the famous night show, Son Amar, where you can enjoy an evening of dinner with show.

Do a bike tour

Another option to explore from Porto Colom is to rent a bicycle to follow the route around the "llogarets" in the outskirts of town. These are small hamlets and villages that have preserved their typical culture and tradition and especially worth a visit are: Es Carritxo, Son Negre, Son Mesquida and Son Valls.
