Our excursion takes place around the beautiful town of Alcudia, considered one of the prettiest in Spain. We will start with a short ride, to familiarize ourselves with the bicycle, to Alcudia Old Town, where we will see its old walls.
Then the adventure on two wheels begins! Because cycling is the best way to explore the surrounding countryside of Alcudia. We will pedal along the coast, with fabulous views of the bay of Pollensa. We will stop at a beautiful beach, and you will learn very curious details about some balls that we find on the beaches.
We will continue on the bike to discover the Albufereta nature reserve, a little-known and often over-looked place. The route continues towards our last stop on secondary roads and with very little traffic except maybe the odd tractor. This setting is ideal to enjoy the landscape in a relaxed way while riding a bike, without the stress or worries that bike tours have in cities.
Our last stop will be at a rural farm where we will learn about the organic production of indigenous chickpeas on the island. There, we will prepare a tapa for a typical Majorcan dish, the trampó salad, which we make with these chickpeas and the typical trampó of tomato, onion and green pepper. You will have a refreshing drink, and will be able to observe the beautiful views, relax in a place away from the city and experience the essence of Mallorca.
