If you are going to Cala Tuent, it is possibly because you want to spend the whole day at the beach at one of the Sierra de Tramuntana's coves. At click-mallorca we are experts on the island, and we want to give you some recommendations of things to do and see in the surroundings of Cala Tuent:
Es Vergeret Restaurant
This restaurant is located next to Cala Tuent, and from its terrace there is an extraordinary panoramic view of the Cala Tuent cove. The restaurant is open from 12:00 to 17:00, and offers Mallorcan dishes, fish and rice. On weekends it is advisable to book.
They also offer accommodation, the only option to stay in Cala Tuent, since there are no hotels in this area. It is an apartment with 5 bedrooms and bathrooms, which can accommodate a maximum of 10 people. The price is from € 190 per night, with a minimum stay of 3 nights.
Tuent Chapel
On the way to Cala Tuent, we find the Sant Llorens Oratory, a 13th century chapel from which we propose two easy and short walks:
- The defensive tower of Tuent: from behind the oratory there is a path which leads us to this defensive tower built in 1596.
- The llogaret (village) of Sa Calobra: from the side of the chapel, in just 5 minutes we will arrive at this beautiful village, with well-preserved houses, typical of mountain architecture.
Sa Costera
Our suggestion for hiking lovers, and an option for something to do in winter is a route of about 10 kilometers that goes from the Ses Barques viewpoint to Cala Tuent. The route is well signposted and can be done in less than 5 hours, although it must be taken into account that it is not a circular route. If you want to take a shorter tour, you can start from Cala Tuent, to reach the old electricity factory of Sa Costera, and from there return.
