The Caves of Hams in Mallorca are one of the island’s most fascinating underground attractions, located near Porto Cristo on the east coast. Booking your Caves of Hams entrance ticket online allows you to enjoy this unique experience with a discount, skip the queues and enter using your mobile phone — no printing required.
This visit is ideal for families, couples and travellers who want to explore Mallorca’s natural heritage through a guided cave experience featuring spectacular rock formations, audiovisual shows and landscaped underground areas. The visit to the Caves of Hams has 3 different parts:
- We start by descending to the Round Cave, a vast open area that includes a spectacular botanical garden with many species of free-flying birds that are native to the island of Mallorca. This is a special micro-climate, whose natural temperature is below that of the exterior, with its own particular vegetation. Millions of years ago, this underground cave was closed in.
-
Next, we visit the Blue Cave, with its spectacular new blue lighting using cutting edge LED technology where you can enjoy the educational documentary “Discovering the Past”, about the history of Mallorca, its first inhabitants, the formation of the Hams Caves and their discovery.
You can admire Samson’s Pillars, the plains of Fra Mauro and the Pit of Hell, where, in a natural auditorium, we will present “Genesis, the history of life”, a frenzied time-lapse from the Big Bang to the present day, projected on a vast scale onto the very rock-face of the cave.
- The last part of the visit is the Classic Cave, renowned throughout the world for its peculiar fish-hook shaped formations, Hams in Mallorquin. The main cave, is made up of 12 galleries. On the underground lake, the Sea of Venice a Musical Show is presented.
Reviews about the visit to the Caves of Hams
Very interesting visit and well organised. The caves are impressive and the Blue Cave show was a nice surprise.
Easy to book online and cheaper than at the entrance. The visit lasted about an hour and was perfect with kids.
Great experience inside the caves. Clear explanations and beautiful formations.
We booked our Caves of Hams tickets online with Click Mallorca and everything was very easy. The mobile ticket worked perfectly at the entrance. The visit itself was very complete, starting with the Round Cave garden, then the Blue Cave with the audiovisual show and finally the Classic Cave with its impressive formations and underground lake. It’s a great activity to do in Mallorca, especially if you are staying in the east of the island.
We enjoyed the cave itself, but I was surprised by how difficult the owners made the process. In the online ticket process it seemed that one could come at any time, but when we arrived we were told they only started tours on the hour, which was difficult as we had other obligations. But we came back at the agreed time and then had to wait around quite awhile- I think they were waiting for some late arrivals. Then there was a long talk, a short movie…. We finally got into the cave itself about 40 minutes after the start time. Great cave- poor management.
The caves were beautiful, we particularly enjoyed the Genesis show and the music. A head's up about the stairs would have been helpful! Staff seemed a little disinterested.
Was Wörth seeing, Vers nice
Lovely caves with some amazing stalagmites and stalactites, the fact that some of the stalagtites grow back upwards is really fascinating and the genesis show was brilliant. Music show at the end not as good as the caves of drach, but still really enjoyable.
Excellent place! Like in dream story!!!
Es un lugar maravilloso! Disfrute mucho todo el recorrido, mi única sugerencia sería que para el espectáculo en el mar de Venecia se haga con música de Mallorca.
