The Campanet Caves, also known as Coves de Campanet, are a natural cave system located at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, near the village of Campanet in northern Mallorca. Set in a quiet rural valley, these caves offer a peaceful and authentic underground experience, far from the crowds found in other well-known caves on the island.
Discovered in 1945, the caves cover an area of approximately 3,200 square metres and feature impressive stalactites, stalagmites and chambers shaped over thousands of years. Their natural and well-preserved environment has led to the discovery of endemic species, highlighting their geological and scientific importance.
Thanks to their self-guided format and limited visitor numbers, the Campanet Caves are ideal Caves in Mallorca for travellers looking to explore Mallorca’s natural heritage at a relaxed pace.
Campanet Caves Reviews
Visiting the Campanet Caves was one of the most pleasant surprises of our trip to Mallorca. Unlike some of the more crowded caves on the island, the Campanet Caves offer a calm and authentic experience, allowing you to explore impressive stalactites and underground chambers at your own pace. The self-guided route is easy to follow and takes you through beautiful spaces such as the Lake Chamber and the Romantic Chamber, all set in a stunning natural environment at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana. We booked our Campanet Caves tickets in advance with Click Mallorca, which made everything very simple. Having the tickets ready on our phone and knowing exactly what to expect helped us enjoy the visit without any stress. If you are looking for a relaxed cave visit in Mallorca, away from mass tourism and surrounded by nature, the Campanet Caves are definitely worth it.
A great cave experience in Mallorca. Easy self-guided visit, impressive formations and a very peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended if you want to avoid the crowds.
We booked our tickets for the Campanet Caves through Click Mallorca and everything worked perfectly. The caves are beautiful and much quieter than other caves in Mallorca, which made the visit very enjoyable. The self-guided walk is well organised and the views from the terrace are fantastic.
Stunning caves well worth a visit. It was quiet and you are able to wander at your own pace. Excellent pathways make it easy. The restaurant Ses Caves is fantastic, quality ingredients cooked over fire. We had one of the Gallician steaks and it was incredible.
Spectacular caves with millions of formations. Well worth the visit although would suspect 25 to 30 minutes for self tour is more realistic.
Nice place to get out of the heat. Spectacular caves with a friendly and informative multi-lingual guides. Magical place to sit and eat and enjoy the beauty of valley. A Mallorca must do!!
The caves are amazing to see and the tour guide is very knowledgeable. Amazing place to relax and spend nice half day in the nature. The surrounding gardens are also beautiful. Would recommend this trip for anyone.
Great caves, lovely cafe and nice gift shop. The steps and walkways are easy to navigate. You move through a few different caverns - totall around 40 min. I would recommend anyone to visit these caves during your holidays.
Our family loved it! Good point is that these caves are not as fully touristy as others in Mallorca. The tour takes about 40 mins. Lovely restaurant!
