Our air conditioned coach will take you inland through the beautiful countryside towards the East Coast, specifically Porto Cristo, where the Caves of Hams are located and where you will discover one of Mallorca's most important attractions. Dinosaurland is right next door, so you can visit both at your leisure. On the way from Palma, your guide will give you information about your surroundings and about the caves and will give you valuable tips about how to get the most out of your day.
CAVES OF HAMS
The visit inside the caves lasts approximately one hour. You will follow the route through the caves, marvelling as you find:
- The Blue Cave, with its spectacular new blue lighting using cutting edge LED technology.
- The Round Cave, set in a vast open area with a botanical garden.
- The Classic Cave that gives the Caves of Hams their name, "Hams" referring to the peculiar hook-shaped formations of stalactites and stalagmites. It is here where the musical show is offered, by the underground lake called the "Sea of Venice".
Although the Caves of Hams were only discovered in 1905, they say that they have existed for around 10 million years!
