Our new ideal activity for families with children in Mallorca consists of a visit to the famous Cuevas dels Hams and combining it with the adventure in Dinosaurland. Below we explain everything:
You can start by following the route through the largest dinosaur exhibition in Mallorca. Along the way you will meet a large number of dinosaurs of all types. Each of them has explanatory panels that let you know how they lived and what kind of dinosaurs they were. Many of them are full-scale reproductions. It will be like traveling to a very distant past. You can take as many photos as you want, and surely the youngest members of the family will have a blast.
The visit to the Caves of Hams consists of three different parts:

The visit to the Caves of Hams lasts 90-60 minutes, and to Dinosaurland about 90-120 minutes.
Dinosaurland is located near Manacor and you can get there by car or public bus. At the bottom of this page you can see a map of the location of the Dinosaurland and the caves of Hams. To get to there, you have different options:
The easiest way to reach DinosaurLand from Cala Millor, Sa Coma or S’Illot is by taking bus line 401 to the Mestral stop in Porto Cristo and then walking about 20 minutes. A taxi will take you there in less than 10 minutes.
If you are staying in Cala Millor, Sa Coma or S’Illot, getting to DinosaurLand is very convenient. A taxi is the fastest option and will drop you right at the entrance in just a few minutes. If you prefer public transport, bus line 401 connects these resorts with Porto Cristo. You should get off at the Mestral stop and walk the last stretch (around 20 minutes), as there is no bus stop directly at DinosaurLand. This option is budget-friendly and also gives you the chance to combine your visit with a stroll through Porto Cristo, a charming coastal town nearby.

We visited Dinosaurland, we took our 7 year old grandson and he thought it was awesome. The set up was on the Jurassic Park theme and there were lots of life-size, dinosaurs dotted amongst the bushes and trees. The dinosaurs moved and roared, making it a really enjoyable experience. The site is very accessible for anyone with a disability and the staff were friendly and helpful. We spent about 3 hours and enjoyed a short “show” featuring a baby raptor and its protective mother. I would highly recommend a trip to Dinosaurland in Porto Cristo and I wish this venture every success for the future. Thank you. x
