Total Solar Eclipse 2026: Boat Trip from the Port of Alcudia

• Departure time: 18:30 (local time). Guests are advised to arrive at the boarding point at least 30 minutes in advance to ensure a smooth embarkation.

• Peak moment of the eclipse: the totality phase, with around one and a half minutes of complete darkness, will take place approximately between 20:31 and 20:33.

• Sunset: around 20:49, while the eclipse is still visible.

Boarding takes place at the Port of Alcudia, in the north of Mallorca, a location that is easy to reach from the island’s main tourist areas.

The route has been specifically designed to maximise the visual experience of the eclipse and take advantage of the best conditions along the northern coast:

1. Departure from the Port of Alcudia (18:00)
   We set sail in the soft light of the summer sunset, beginning a calm and relaxed journey.

2. Cruise through the Bay of Alcudia
   Enjoy views of the coastline as we gradually head towards open sea.

3. Heading towards Cape Formentor
   We sail parallel to the spectacular northern coastline, with the Serra de Tramuntana as a dramatic backdrop.

4. Positioning for eclipse observation
   The captain selects the most suitable spot in open waters, using Cape Formentor as a reference point, to ensure unobstructed viewing during totality.

5. Return to port
   After sunset and the end of the eclipse, we begin a relaxed return journey back to the Port of Alcudia.
