The Caves of Drach in Porto Cristo are one of the most visited caves in Europe. On this full day trip we will visit the Caves of Drach, stop at Mallorca Pearls and spend some time at the charming town of Porto Cristo.
Before we visit the Caves of Drach, we will go to Mallorca Pearls where where you will learn a little thanks to the expert explanation about the sophisticated and rigorous process of making the famous artificial mallorcan pearls which imitate natural ones. There you will laso have the opportunity to purchase jellewerry items at outlet prices, an ideal gift for family and friends or a great way to treat yourself.
The visit to the Caves of Drach takes more than an hour and it includes a classical music concert by Lake Martel, considered to be one of the biggest and most spectacular underground lakes in the world. After the concert you can take a short boat trip on this Caves of Drach lake where you can admire the beauty of the Caves of Drach that is further enhanced by the lighting planned and set in place by the engineer Carlos Buigas in 1935. The boat trip on Lake Martel is included in the price of the excursion to the Caves of Drach.
We will also stop in Porto Cristo. Porto Cristo is a very sheltered bay with a beautiful extensive beach of fine sand and shallow water. It is also a natural harbour, used for both fishing and sport, which despite modernization has not lost its natural charm. In Porto Cristo you will have time to go for a stroll, have lunch and enjoy the beach.
Mallorca Caves of Drach and Porto Cristo Tour. Reviews
Good experience and came at a cheap price. Was able to do the boat trip at the end too
Overall a very good day but wouldn’t hurry back for another tour. Tour guide wasn’t the most enthusiastic person ever and we had to change coaches which was slightly annoying - especially as the coach to collect us after our tour was late! A lot of money for admission to the Caves (which was amazing inside) and then a bus journey to Porto Cristo and back. Would save money next time and hire a car!
The excursion was very interesting and fun. We really enjoyed the visit to the caves and the little concert, it was amazing. Thank you so much for the great service during the whole journey. I would definitely recommend.
It was a nice day seeing the caves were amazing the tour guide knows his stuff was very helpful with everyone I would recommend it thank you
This was a relaxing excursion lasted for a full day. We had a good driver/guide who kept timing in good order.Caves are amazing, pearl factory Majorica was interesting stop with the demo on the top floor. The bus with air co and the ride to the caves was great, the tour guide was friendly and the caves were really incredible. Really value for money.
With this trip we visited different places: Pearl Shop, Porto Cristo town, Caves of Drach. We were taken to the Majorica Pearl Factory for a little stop about 30 minutes, then to the caves of Drach which were amazing. And finally to Porto Cristo town. Here was very nice beach, shops, place to eat. Totally worth it to visit. The guide was excellent and the timings were perfect. It was a great day for all family. Definitely to recommend.
The trip was excellent. First we went to the Majorica Pearl Shop. The top floor has live demos of pearl making and a vast display of the history of pearls (30 minutes stop)- the lower floor was a factory shop. The Caves of Drach or Dragon Caves were the highlight of the trip and definitely worth the visit without spoiling it for people the sights of large caverns with their huge range of stalactites and mites beautifully lit with well designed paths and rails - guides to help at every turn and the lake concert at the end makes this a must. We had also free time in the lovely harbour of Porto Cristo. We had a good day and it was tip top organized. Value for money.
Excursion was interesting, fun and well organized. I will highly recommend to friends.
The caves are amazing!! The only problema is that due to the amount of people we had to wait a while and then rush to get to the concert area not allowing us to enjoy the caves peacefully. Also the babies crying ruins a little the magic of the concert but nothing we can do about it ;) Highly recommend!
The caves are magnificent. The concert starting w/ Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D enhances the aura of the place---breathtaking.
We want to know what you think
