This excursion will take us to visit the capital of Mallorca where you will have free time to visit the old town or to do some shopping. Then you will visit Valldemossa, one of the prettiest villages of Mallorca.
Once we get to Palma, we will drop you off close to the shopping area and the old town, so you have everything within walking distance. Then, you will have plenty of free time. In Palma you can visit the beautiful old town with its charming squares, the nobility town-houses and some important historical buildings such as the Cathedral, the town hall or the Almudaina Palace which is the official residence of the Spanish king in Mallorca.
You can also explore the shopping area because Palma de Mallorca is a shopping paradise with plenty of shops for all budgets. From luxurious shops to big departments stores, including international brands, local gastronomy shops and much more.
The road to Valldemossa is through impressive landscape with views of the valley, the mountain area and the town of Valldemossa. On the way to Valldemosa our guide will give us information about the town and its history.
In Valldemossa, you can visit the Royal Carthusian Monastery where the famous pianist Chopin stayed in 1838. The entrance fee is not included in the price. You will also have free time in Valldemossa to visit and stroll around the oldest part of Valldemossa, where you can see the parish church, the typical Mallorcan stone houses or the Oratory of Saint Catalina Tomàs.
Excursion to Palma and Valldemossa. Reviews
My wife and I have just returned from your Palma and Valldemosa excursion. Whilst the pick up arrangements were fine and we enjoyed our time at the two locations, there are a couple of issues we want to raise with you:- 1. Your information sheet entitled "What is included in the price?" specifically stated the inclusion of a Palma City map, and a Valldemosa map. These were not provided and both guides were unprepared to get them for us. This proved to be a major problem for us as we were unable to accompany the guided tour of both places as I have restricted mobility, so the maps would have been very useful for a slower, independent tour. Furthermore, we wanted the maps to keep as souvenirs of our trip. We would appreciate it if you could arrange for these two maps to be sent to us at our hotel before we leave Mallorca on Sunday morning, in fulfilment of your deal with customers. We are staying at the Alua Calas de Mallorca Resort. 2. Your attempt to carry several different excursions on the same coach proved to be chaotic. This is because your hapless guide confused most of us by trying to explain the pick-up arrangements to passengers on four trips in at least four languages and then repeating himself. He totally failed to clarify the collection point for the return journey, resulting in a 25 minute delay in departure. 3. You undertook so a send a Palma map to our hotel before we left. It never arrived!
The locations were good. However the guide's coordination of several trips and languages on the same bus left people confused over pick-up points, resulting in a 25 minute delay on return departure. Also the Palma and Valldemosa maps promised when we booked were not supplied, which made navigating difficult, as I have a mobility problem and could not keep up with a guided walk. It would be appreciated if the maps could be sent to us, perhaps at our hotel (Alua Calas de Mallorca ) before we leave on Sunday morning. Otherwise, we feel short changes. Your guides were not very understanding about this, hence the low score. We believe commitments should be honoured in full.
Bus was punctual, guides on board nice.it just took too long to get to Palma, 2 hours instead of 1 because we were picking up other passengers. But at least we saw some more of the island. I think it's overpriced because you actually only pay for transportation and then you're on your own.
We want to know what you think
