You can get on the boat at any of the piers in Magaluf or Palma Nova to sail to Palma. This is the most stress-free way to get to Palma, as you don't need to worry about bus schedules, buses being full or bartering for a taxi. Plus, during the boat trip on the way to the capital of the island, you will enjoy the gorgeous landscape this part of Mallorca's coastline. During the 60-minute boat ride, you will see places like Portals Vells and Illetes and will enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the city of Palma from the sea as you approach the port of Palma.
There are many things to do in Palma, and you will disembark very close to the old town. In just five minutes you can walk to the Cathedral, the Almudaina Palace, the old walls or the shopping area. This is another reason to take the ferry to Palma instead of the public bus: we drop you right in the centre; you don't need to walk 20 minutes from the bus station to get to the old town and shopping area. You will have almost 4 hours to explore the city at your own pace.
