We have put together a half day shuttle service to the Caves of Drach from the north area of Mallorca. This is so that holiday-makers can enjoy one of the most beautiful attractions on the island and still be able to spend the afternoon back at the beach or by the pool. The caves are a must-see while you are on holiday in Mallorca and now, with this flexible option you don't have to compromise.
Â
Our Caves of Drach shuttle bus picks up at around 09:00-10:00, depending on the resort where you are staying, and we drive through the Mallorcan countryside towards Porto Cristo in the east.
Â
The Caves of Drach are located in Porto Cristo, around 45 minutes from our last pick up in Can Picafort. Once inside the caves, you will follow the local guide, who will point out the stalactites and stalagmites and rock formations that look like animals or buildings. As you make your way throw the enchanting Caves of Drach, you will enjoy the magical lighting and eerie stillness and you will marvel as the network of caves seems to get bigger and bigger as you progress.
Â
The highlight of your visit will be hearing the classical music concert inside the Caves of Drach. That and crossing Lake Martel on a small wooden boat. The boat ride is a unique experience in the world and is included in the price, though it is optional if any visitor prefers not to participate. Lake Martel is one of the largest subterranean lakes in the world. The music concert (also included in the price) takes place in a huge cavern by the lake, which is a natural amphitheatre with wonderful acoustics.
Â
On this half day excursion we will also make a brief stop at the famous Majorica Pearls where you can purchase gifts or treat yourself to a piece of jewellery made with the renowned pearls. Then we will make our way back to the resort and you will have the afternoon to relax or swim in the pool.
