The Island Tour has been the most popular excursion in the last years, and with no doubt is the best excursion in Mallorca offering sightseeing and the combination of 4 different modes of transport on the same excursion including the famous train of Soller and a visit to La Calobra. As well as the bus trip, you will ride on the old tram, the Soller train and a spectacular boat ride between Puerto Soller and La Calobra in Mallorca, all included in this price.
First, we will drive through the UNESCO Tramuntana Mountain area and, from the bus, you will enjoy some of the best views of your holiday: Lluc Monastery, the highest mountains of Mallorca and some amazing limestone rock formations. The excursion also includes a stop at the Monastery of Lluch, which is located in an idyllic setting at an altitude of 400 metres, in the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range. The Monastery of Lluc dates back to the 17th century and is the island's place of pilgrimage, as it is home to the Virgin of Lluch, also known as "La Moreneta" because the figure is made of dark wood.
Then our bus trip will take us on the most spectacular road of Mallorca: the road to La Calobra, a road built in 1929. La Calobra is by far one of the most picturesque areas of Mallorca. In La Calobra you can visit the Torrente de Pareis gorge, relax enjoying beautiful views, swim at La Calobra beach or even have something to eat at one of the restaurants in La Calobra.
From La Calobra we will enjoy a boat trip (40 minutes) in the spectacular and dramatic west coast with views that can’t be seen from land. The boat trip goes from La Calobra to Puerto Soller.
The highlight of the Island Tour excursion will be in Soller Valley. First we will get on the Soller tram: a fantastic 25 minutes tram trip that will take us to the village of Soller, passing orange orchards and the village itself. In Soller, depending on the train timetable, we will have a little free time, and our guide will give you some recommendations. The last part of the Island Tour will be an amazing train trip on the Soller railway: an old wooden train built in 1912. The Soller train trip goes from Soller to Son Reus (outskirts of Palma), and it takes 40 minutes.
Mallorca Island Tour reviews
Thanks for trip! But my recommendation is to stick to the tour schedule. We didn't have any time to explore the town of Soller, even to go to the toilet.
I selected this tour as I wanted to see all the sites and didn't fancy driving on the windey roads. Overall the day was very good , we were picked up at our hotel in cala millor just before nine and the coach drove to the leather shop. Then we were taken through the mountains with fabulous views and then down the twisty hair pin bends all the way to the coast , with again amazing views. Sa Colbora was a bit of a tourist trap , overpriced food and quite tatty , and very busy, but on a nice cove , we just bought some drinks from the shop. We caught the 1.30 pm boat which was much larger than I expected , a tip is to get there early otherwise you are stuck inside the boat. The boat ride took about 45 minutes to Soller however there was no commentary which was disappointing. We then had a half hour break at Soller before boarding our reserved tram , there was hundred of people waiting for the public service so this definitely works. This was lovely , and we transferred to our reserved carriage on the vintage train and stayed on it for forty minutes before being picked up by our coach and dropped back at our hotel at 6.20. So a full on day , the guide was good and spoke in Spanish , English and German ,and we always felt safe even on the windy roads. A great way to see the sites.
Perfecto
Tour molto ben organizzato. La guida Pepe brava. Vale la pena provarlo per avere una veloce ma completa esperienza di questi posti della zona ovest dell'isola.
Amazing experience . Pepe was an amazing guide , extremly proffessional and gave us a clear understading of the importance of each visiter area. Extremly well organised
Angela was a very good guide and you see some stunning places. However, the itinerary is too rushed and the best place of the trip (Port du Soller and Soller) only has a 25 and 30 minute stop. Collabora is stunning, however it's too busy, especially with the Instagram crowd trying to take posing pictures. The cafeterias at this place are a tourist trap, where the majority sell over priced plates of low quality food. The boat, train and trams were good, but I would say if you want a relaxing day, choose something that doesn't have a schedule as packed as this one.
It was an excellent tour, everything was impeccably organized, and Marta is a great guide!
Goed
An amazing way to see more of Mallorca. We were blown away by the beauty of the small cove, think it was calobra or similar. We could have stayed there all day. No cars allowed so peaceful if a little busy with tourists. The train and tram were such a nice chilled way to get from Port Soller to Palma. This excursion is an absolute must if visiting the island, hastle free with a guide throughout who was very patient and excellent at her job...Antonio was her name. Special mention to the bus driver Pepe who negotiated the mountains well, those roads are something else. All in all an excellent day well spent. Wish we had more time to explore but it's a great way to see different parts of the island.
Tour was fantastic specially via Bus. Suggest if you increase the stoppage timings in Soller After the Tram that would be very good since we flet we spend less time in that place did not enough time for lunch.
We want to know what you think
