The Island Tour has been the most popular excursion in the last years, and with no doubt is the best excursion in Mallorca offering sightseeing and the combination of 4 different modes of transport on the same excursion including the famous train of Soller and a visit to La Calobra. As well as the bus trip, you will ride on the old tram, the Soller train and a spectacular boat ride between Puerto Soller and La Calobra in Mallorca, all included in this price.
First, we will drive through the UNESCO Tramuntana Mountain area and, from the bus, you will enjoy some of the best views of your holiday: Lluc Monastery, the highest mountains of Mallorca and some amazing limestone rock formations. The excursion also includes a stop at the Monastery of Lluc, which is located in an idyllic setting at an altitude of 400 metres, in the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range. The Monastery of Lluc dates back to the 17th century and is the island's place of pilgrimage, as it is home to the Virgin of Lluch, also known as "La Moreneta" because the figure is made of dark wood.
Then our bus trip will take us on the most spectacular road of Mallorca: the road to La Calobra, a road built in 1929. La Calobra is by far one of the most picturesque areas of Mallorca. In La Calobra you can visit the Torrente de Pareis gorge, relax enjoying beautiful views, swim at La Calobra beach or even have something to eat at one of the restaurants in La Calobra.
From La Calobra we will enjoy a boat trip (40 minutes) in the spectacular and dramatic west coast with views that can’t be seen from land. The boat trip goes from La Calobra to Puerto Soller.
The highlight of the Island Tour excursion will be in Soller Valley. First we will get on the Soller tram: a fantastic 25 minutes tram trip that will take us to the village of Soller, passing orange orchards and the village itself. In Soller, depending on the train timetable, we will have a little free time, and our guide will give you some recommendations. The last part of the Island Tour will be an amazing train trip on the Soller railway: an old wooden train built in 1912. The Soller train trip goes from Soller to Son Reus (outskirts of Palma), and it takes 40 minutes.

Overall, we enjoyed seeing the beautiful scenery of Mallorca, but unfortunately the organisation of this excursion was disappointing. One of the reasons we chose this tour was because the description stated that hotel pick-up was included. However, we were assigned a meeting point approximately 2 km from our hotel. We contacted the company in advance, explained exactly where we were staying and that we were travelling with two children, but were told that this was the best they could offer. The day started even worse because we were not picked up at the agreed meeting point. After contacting the office, we were informed that this was due to a mistake on their side and were asked to take a taxi to Palma to join the tour. The taxi fare was later refunded, which we appreciated, but it caused unnecessary stress and we almost missed the excursion. During the tour, the guide had to switch constantly between five different languages. This made the information difficult to follow, and the English explanations were often hard to understand. Many passengers seemed confused about where to go and what to do at the different stages of the trip. The itinerary also felt far too rushed. There was almost no free time between the bus, boat, tram and train, so the experience became more about changing means of transport than actually enjoying the places we visited. We had expected at least some time to explore or even have a swim at Sa Calobra, but there was no opportunity. At the end of the tour, the return journey was also poorly organised. The bus drove back and forth between hotels in an inefficient order. Although our hotel was on the route, we were not dropped off there. Instead, we were left at the same meeting point where we had waited that morning, despite the fact that it was around 2 km from our hotel. Mallorca is beautiful, and the route itself is definitely worth experiencing. However, the organisation, communication and logistics of this excursion did not meet our expectations. With better planning, clearer communication and more time to enjoy the destinations, this could have been a much better experience.
Het was een superdag! Veel gezien, goed georganiseerd. Eigen wagon in tram en trein. Goede chauffeur Juan die ons veilig door het gebergte loodste. Gids Juan vertelde van alles, was heel enthousiast, vroeg of hij foto's van mensen kon maken. We kregen na afloop een amandel van zijn eigen oogst. Heel leuk!

A great day out. Well organised and timings were spot on. Angela was a fantastic guide with lots of enthusiasm despite her regular trips, I'm sure she makes. The driver was very skilled but you felt safe in his knowledge of the very windy roads. I would recommend this family trip to anyone intetested in seeing some lovely scenery, exploring new places in Mallorca with a wonderful train, tram and pleasant boat trip.

The tour and the tour guide (Angela) were Absolutely fantastic. She spoke 4 languages, talked about history and culture, suggestion local purchases, worth-seeing areas and coffee shops. She was very patient with clients who would not be quiet when she was speaking, asking numerous times for these few inconsiderate. The bus used, was a Team bus with writing on the outside windows, although comfortable, not conducive to taking fotos, which was an issue.
We had a lovely time on our excursion with Martha and Davide on Easter Sunday. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip, the tram, and the train. Only issue was confusion with the original pick up point and we nearly missed the bus. We were on the street the map pin told us to go to but it was actually on the other side of the hotel on the road behind where we were.
