The La Granja Museum is on the outskirts of the town of Esporles. It is an excellent excursion as a couple or as a family, and it can be combined with a visit to the nearby town of Valldemossa, or even with a hiking route in the surroundings.
La Granja is an old stately mansion, whose history begins in Arab times. The current property is the result of various eras and vicissitudes, in a mixture of stately and rustic style. In addition to being used as a residence, it was also a "possessió" dedicated to agricultural production, with more than a hundred craftsmen in its heyday. This gives it the inexplicable charm of a well-preserved old building - maintaining its own dignified style - but which at the same time also has essential elements of our rich cultural past. Today La Granja is open to the public and houses an ethnographic museum and a varied display of typical farm animals.
