The Malgrats Islands, were declared a marine reserve in 2004 by the Calvia Local Council in recognition of the high ecological and fishing value of the region, as well as the diversity of animal habitats and communities. The Malgrats are made up of two small uninhabited islands and are located just a few kilometres of the coast of Santa Ponsa. Despite their proximity, the islands seem like a million miles away from the bustling and busy tourist resort of Santa Ponsa, with their abundance of animal life, sealife and rich vegetation. To really appreciate the beauty of these islands, you must visit them yourself. Then you will understand why they feature on many postcards.

An unforgettable experience. Never having snorkelled before, I was a little nervous but Estevan, our guide was very reassuring and I used a float until I could get used to breathing underwater. Once I got used to it, it was amazing. I don’t think the website makes it clear, but this is a really intimate, small group experience- only eight of us on the boat. You will be in the water for about an hour, so bear that in mind. You will see loads of fish! Book it! It was brilliant!

Our first experience with snorkelling and it was a great fun. Staff was excellent, pick up service went smoothly. On board and in the water they really took care of us, their attention never wavered. The sea hove quite strongly that day (at least for our inexperienced kind) so some of us did not feel well sometimes but staff helped us through as well. Thanks for everything!
We had an excellent snorkelling trip here - well organised, with transport to and from our hotel, and a very friendly team. The boat trip is fairly short, and the snorkelling sessions long enough so we really enjoyed it. Would do it again.
