The visit takes you through different spaces that allow you to discover Mallorca’s railway history in a dynamic and surprising way.
1. Travel to a 19th-Century Railway Station
The experience begins with a recreation of an old railway station from the late 19th century. The setting, projections and holograms will transport you back to the time when the railway began to transform the lives of the people of Mallorca. The music, locomotive sounds and special effects help create an atmosphere that allows you to imagine what the first train journeys across the island were like.
2. Board a Historic Railway Carriage and Discover Mallorca’s Past
One of the most special moments of the visit comes when the stationmaster invites visitors to board a restored historic railway carriage. Once inside, a surprising audiovisual journey through Mallorca of the past begins. Thanks to a panoramic projection, you will be able to admire old landscapes, villages and scenes of everyday life, as if you were travelling on one of the island’s first trains.
During this experience, you will also learn about Eusebi Estada, the engineer who drove the development of Mallorca’s first railway network.
3. Become a Train Driver with the Train Simulator
The visit continues in an interactive space where young and old alike can discover how the old railways worked. Here, you will find games, digital resources and objects related to railway history, as well as a driving simulator that allows you to experience what it feels like to take control of a locomotive.
This is one of the most entertaining parts of the visit, especially for children and those who are curious about the world of railways.
