Shore Excursion: guided walk in Palma de Mallorca

  Our guided visit to Palma de Mallorca lasts for 4 hours and can start at whatever time you wish. Our guide will be waiting outside the cruise area, and we will take the public bus to go to the old town area. This takes only 10 minutes  and is also a great chance to see the spectacular port of Palma.   Our first stop will be by the fishermen's area and we will discover where the fishermen were living, their traditions and how important the navigation was in the medieval times. We will see two of the most important and beautiful buildings of Palma: the Consulate of the Sea and the school of Merchants (La Lonja) and we shall also see the actual fishermen's port.     Then we will head to "Dalt de Murada", the highest part of the old walls of the city of Palma. Views from here are amazing, and it will be a great chance to explain you briefly the history of the city: from the Romans, to the Arabs and to the Kingdom of Mallorca.  After that, it will be time to stroll around the maze of the streets in the old town area. First, we will pass what was the Jewish Quarter. Then we will take you to discover some hidden corners of Palma, some medieval patios and the Town Hall Square among other places of interest.   Our guided walk will finish by the Cathedral Area where the monumental area of Palma is. Then our guide will give you some reccomendations about things to do or to visit in Palma, and then the time is yours.      Of course that if there is something that calls your attention, the itinerary can be amended; we are completely flexible and our guides are more than happy to alter the course of the tour if you see an enticing alleyway that takes your attention or if you see a church that you want to go inside.
