On 12 August 2026, join us for an unforgettable afternoon aboard a spacious sailing catamaran as we experience one of the most extraordinary astronomical events of the century from the waters of northern Mallorca. We will depart from Port de Pollença at 5:00 PM, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the Mediterranean before the eclipse begins.
Our first stop will be the beautiful Cala Murta, one of the most unspoilt coves on the Formentor peninsula. Here you'll have time to swim in crystal-clear waters or simply relax on board while surrounded by spectacular scenery. After the swim stop, we will continue sailing towards Cape Formentor, where the captain will position the catamaran in the best possible location to enjoy an unobstructed view of the western horizon. As the sun slowly descends towards the sea, you'll witness the moon gradually covering it until totality creates one of the most breathtaking natural spectacles imaginable.
Throughout the cruise, our crew will serve a selection of Mediterranean tapas, prepared according to the freshest ingredients available on the day. The selection may vary but typically includes Spanish omelette, artisan bread, hummus, local cheeses and cured meats. During the entire excursion, drinks are included, with water, soft drinks, beer and sangria available throughout the trip.
Rather than watching the eclipse from a crowded viewpoint on land, you'll experience it from the peaceful surroundings of the Mediterranean Sea, with panoramic views, the sound of the waves and the unique atmosphere that only a sailing catamaran can provide.
