Total Solar Eclipse 2026: Last-Minute Small-Group Boat Experience from Alcudia

This exclusive three-hour excursion, from 18:30 to approximately 21:30, has been designed to combine Mallorca's spectacular coastline with one of the most extraordinary astronomical events of the decade.

We depart at 18:30 from the Port of Alcudia and begin navigating towards the dramatic northern coastline of Mallorca. Our first stop will be at a nice place on the way to Cape Formentor. Surrounded by nature and crystal-clear Mediterranean waters, this peaceful cove is the perfect place for a refreshing swim before continuing towards the main event.

After the swim, we continue sailing past Cap de Formentor and towards open waters.  This part of Mallorca offers an exceptional setting for observing the eclipse. Away from buildings, mountains, crowded viewpoints and other obstacles on land, the boat can position itself to provide a wide and unobstructed view of the western horizon.

As the eclipse approaches, the captain will select the best possible position according to the conditions at sea and will slow down or gently drift to create comfortable viewing conditions. At approximately 20:31, the Moon will completely cover the Sun and Mallorca will experience one of the most extraordinary natural events visible from the island in decades.

During the eclipse:

• Certified eclipse glasses compliant with ISO 12312-2 will be provided.
• A glass of cava will be served on board.
• You will be able to experience totality from the sea, surrounded by the Mediterranean and the spectacular landscape of northern Mallorca.

After the eclipse and sunset, we will begin a smooth and relaxed journey back to the Port of Alcudia, arriving at approximately 21:30.

• The Total Solar Eclipse takes place on 12 August 2026, and demand for boat trips in Mallorca has been exceptional.

• No refunds will be issued due to cloud cover if the excursion operates as planned.
• No refunds will be issued for late arrivals or no-shows.
• The activity may only be cancelled by the operator for maritime safety reasons.
• In the event that the operator cancels the excursion for safety reasons, the corresponding refund conditions will apply.
• Due to the exceptional nature of the eclipse, very heavy traffic is expected throughout Mallorca on 12 August. Please plan your journey to the Port of Alcudia well in advance.
