About Cala Blanca Beach

Cala Blanca is a beach with crystalline waters that belongs to the municipality of Andratx. It is a small gravel and sand beach located in a natural environment and surrounded by cliffs, with a backdrop of trees that offer some shade on sunny days.

Cala Blanca beach is 40 meters long, making it a small beach. It is advisable to bring good footwear, as there is a lot of rock, which you might want to explore around. Being such a small and somewhat isolated beach, it is not very crowded. Although you should keep in mind that it is one of the few beaches in Mallorca on which dogs are welcome, so there are many bathers who come with their dog. There are also many boats that come from Santa Ponsa and Port Andratx to anchor in front of the beach so that passengers can enjoy a peaceful swim in a pretty place, away from the crowds of the big resorts.

Cala Blanca: Dog-friendly beach in Mallorca

Cala Blanca is one of the five dog-friendly beaches in Mallorca along with Es Carnatge Beach in Palma, a section of Llenaire Beach in Pollença, Na Patana in Santa Margalida and Cala Gamba in Palma de Mallorca. Of all the pet-friendly beaches on the island, Cala Blanca is the most secluded and unspoiled of all. Tip: If you don’t like dogs, choose another beach!

Finally, if you go with your dog to an authorized dog beach, there are a few rules that you must follow – some that are obvious and some that you perhaps didn’t know:

  • You must carry the animal’s up-to-date documents
  • pick up the excrement and throw it in special bins provided
  • keep the dog on a leash if there are people nearby.
