Mallorca in November: things to do and places to visit
If you are thinking about what to do in Mallorca in November because you´re coming on holiday to Mallorca, or because you are a resident of Mallorca and are looking for inspiration for your free time, you have come to the right place! November is the beginning of the low season, as most tourists come to Mallorca between April and October, therefore, many attractions close at the end of October and there are fewer activities to do. Nevertheless, there are many options that Mallorca has to offer during this month of the year.

Our team of experts in leisure and excursions in Mallorca have prepared a series of ideal suggestions for this month of November in Mallorca.
Festivals, Shows and Events in November
November is a much quieter month in Mallorca, but it’s also a time when the island celebrates some of its most traditional and food-focused events. Across different villages, fairs such as the Fira de l’Oli in Caimari, dedicated to olive oil, and the Esclata-sang mushroom festivals highlight Mallorca’s strong connection to local produce, rural life and seasonal traditions. These events are mainly enjoyed by residents and offer visitors a very authentic experience of the island.
As locals living in Mallorca year-round, November stands out for its gastronomic and agricultural celebrations, as well as smaller cultural events in towns and cities like Palma. It’s an ideal month for travellers interested in discovering Mallorca beyond the tourist season, through local fairs, traditional food and a slower, more genuine pace of life.
Dijous bo – Good Thursday
If there is one fair that stands out above all others in Mallorca, it is undoubtedly the Dijous Bo held in Inca. The date is the third Thursday in November. It is the largest fair in Mallorca, and the most popular and crowded of all, with almost 200,000 visitors.
The full programme of events can be found on its website https://www.dijousbo.es/es/ (however, again it is only in spanish). Throughout the streets of Inca you will find craft stalls, stalls selling local products, machinery, merchants, gastronomy, etc. ….. You will find absolutely everything at this fair, accompanied by a great atmosphere. You can combine a visit to Dijous Bo with a meal in one of the typical cellars of Inca, and you will have the perfect plan for a day out in November!

Caimari Olive Fair
The Olive Fair in Caimari was the pioneer when it comes to thematic fairs in Mallorca! On the way to the main square there are numerous stalls with a multitude of products, many of which are related to olives: oil, olives, oil candles… and others are varied but mostly artisan products, like typical from the island itself such as jams, marmalades, bread, fruit and most important of all Mallorcan wine!
All the stalls are very well cared for and filled with different good quality products, which essentially is also an excellent opportunity to do some Christmas shopping!
In the main square you can see the process of choosing a silo and extracting the coal, and even see what a charcoal maker’s hut and an oven used to be like (but an old-fashioned, mountain oven). There are also craft exhibitions, other exhibitions and

Openhouse Palma
On 6 and 7 November Palma de Mallorca hosts the first edition of this event on the balearic islands. Open House Palma is the largest festival of architecture and open doors in the city. For one weekend a year, more than 70 buildings, spaces and/or units that are usually closed or hidden from the public, are open to the public free of charge, and what you´ll notice is that they are the best examples of architecture and design in Palma.
In addition to the above, there are different guided walking tours of Palma also planned, along with architecture workshops for children, bicycle excursions, a photography competition and different talks. At https://openhousepalma.org/ you can consult all the open buildings and the different activities.

One of the few remaining options available are private charters or renting a boat just for your group. A few years ago, there was also the option of a boat trip to Cabrera in winter, which was ideal for hikers. One option that will be available in November is the boat trip from Port de Soller to Sa Calobra with departure around 12:00 and return around 16:00. In November there are many people who start hiking after the summer, but do not have much experience, so this route is ideal.

Visit Palma in November to see the spectacle of the eight in the Cathedral!
Palma is one of those places you must visit in Mallorca at any time of the year. There is always something new to discover, be it an exhibition, a museum, a new place or a new guided tour… In November there is always something unique and spectacular going on in Palma.

The “Spectacle of the Eight” in the cathedral of Palma de Mallorca can only be seen twice a year! Those days are the 2nd of February and the 11th of November. It consists of the rose window of the main altar being reflected on the wall in front of it, just below opposite the rose window on the main façade. For just five minutes they are reflected on each other, forming a double rose window of glass and light, similar to an “eight of light”. This is why this phenomenon is known as the “Spectacle of Eight”.
What can we do afterwards in Palma? We can take a stroll through the narrow streets of the old town, visiting places such as the old city walls, the Jewish quarter or the Santa Eulalia area… in order to discover the city with hardly any tourists! For a snack we can go for a stroll to the Olivar market, or equally finish off with a tasty snack at Santi Taura’s COR barra i taula.
